How to Organize That Mess of Batteries

Batteries are one of those things that almost everyone has and most people have lots of and lots of different sizes of.  For our family, we have everything from watch batteries to 9 volt batteries and every size in between.  We also like to keep the batteries stocked so that when we do need them, we are scrounging around or having to run last minute somewhere to get them.  I could not figure out how to keep them organized beyond keeping them in their packaging and leaving in a drawer which is obviously not the most organized.

Then I found a pin on Pinterest that showed to use a small tool (like nails, screws, etc) box or a fishing lure organizer to hold the batteries.  I found this one HERE  ( I have model 4007) at Walmart for $6!  It's got removable inserts to change the size of the compartments which is perfect for different sized batteries.

Box shown here is from Amazon and model 5007 but would work great!
There is only 2 steps to this organizational project which are 1) Buy the box and 2) Put in the batteries.  It can't get much better than that!  This box is also small enough that it can fit in most drawers.
Here is what ours looks like now (we don't currently have any watch batteries and we are running low on a few others).  I also keep the extra blue separators in the little compartment on the left so that when we need to change the compartment size (i.e. when we don't have so many size D) they are right there.

I hope you enjoyed this organizational project and as always, thanks for coming!
