When we first bought our house, the biggest problem areas we have are our upstairs bathrooms. We originally thought that the master bath was the biggest problem with it's extremely odd and skinny layout, however after living here for almost 7 months we continue to realize the guest bath is definitely the worst.
Here is what our guest bath looks like now...
From a distance it doesn't look awful just plain but when you really start looking closer, you start to see all bad in this room. Just to give you a few examples, the vanity cabinet is crooked with a more crooked door, the subfloor is dipping because moisture got under the peel and stick tiles, the tub drain is rusted, the walls have pits and dips, the door trim and baseboards are completely chewed up by a dog (or pet raccoon...), and the faucet on the sink is not even attached to the vanity top. The list just goes on and on and unfortunately keeps growing so in the next couple of months we will be doing a complete gut of this bathroom.
My wonderful dad, the contractor, will be coming in for a week to help Adam and I gut and redo this bathroom so I really needed to get on the ball with our plan for this room. The amazingly helpful Dana at House Tweaking did a 4 part seriers on creating mood boards in Polyvore and I am finally able to visualize what I want for this room. See her first post in the series HERE!
So without further adieu, here is my design!
Simply click on the image to see the board on my Polyvore account or hover over the items below the picture for more information. I really wanted to keep the girly feel of her current bathroom but get rid of the harsh black. I fell in love with the grey vanity a few months ago and everything else has just slowly come together!
I hope you enjoyed this decorating adventure and, as always, thanks for stopping by!
Those towels are gorgeous! I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love them too! Those I actually found already loaded on polyvore but I definitely want to get them.
