July Birchbox Unboxing

Are you looking at the title of this post and thinking what is Birchbox?  Well, I'll tell you!  It's a monthly beauty box subscription.  Around the 10th of every month, you will get a nice little package in your mail full of high end samples and sometimes full size beauty products with an occasional extra (sometimes a food item, sometimes something to wear, etc) for only $10!  I started getting my monthly Birchbox about a year and a half ago and still love getting them every month.

Here is what this month's looked like!  Each package comes in a cardboard "shell". (Please ignore the horrible fingernails, I'd just finished painting the living room.)

 Under the "shell" is a box, usually just cardboard color but this month it's all fancy with fitness pictures.

 On the box of that top card is a list of all of the items inside and their value at full price.

 As you can see, the samples are usually really good sizes and every now and then I will have a full size product in the box.  All of the products are high end and there have been very few I have been unhappy with.

Now are you wondering how you can start getting your birchbox every month?  Click HERE and you will be taken to the Birchbox website.  From there, you will create an account and then select the box you want to receive.  The women's box is $10/month and the men's box is $20/month.  If you pay for more months up front it is even cheaper but I just do the auto payment every month.

One of my favorite perks for Birchbox is the points you earn for the Birchbox shop.  For your first month's box, you get 10 points automatically.  Then if you go onto the website, log in and review the products included in your box during that month you will get 10 points for every review that you do.  When you have 100 points (which only takes 10 reviews so 2 boxes), you get $10 to spend on ANY of the products in the Birchbox shop!  I have already been able to "purchase" 2 full size products with my points and I've forgotten at least 5 months to do the reviews.
