Preschooler's Outfit of the Day Hanger + FREE Printable

I mentioned in this post that I was going to share where we hang Bailey's outfits that we have picked out the night before and the printable I used in the hanger so here it is!  It's a very quick and simple project that really kept sadly getting pushed off.  Last year we started letting her pick out her school outfits and they usually just sat draped over her table in her room.  I really wanted to create the hanger that I was inspired by from Fresh Coat of Paint/House for Five and just kept procrastinating on that project.  Since fall seems to be lurking around the corner, I figured now is the best time to get it done since she'll be starting preschool in the fall!
To create this project, I made a few trips to Hobby Lobby (should have been one) to get everything I needed which was:
  • frame of choice (mine is a 5x5)
  • wall mountable hanger (the flower)
  • cardstock (shows the print much better than plain paper)
  • cute hanger (can't have just an old plastic hanger if you're going to show it all off anyway! Ours is from a dress-up outfit she got for Christmas)

We hung her frame above a simple wall hook I found at Hobby Lobby (I think it was around $4) and next to a "pint-sized" mirror.  Even though she is only 3 she actually loves the mirror and it has allowed me to be able to put her hair up, use a bow or put a headband on her (her hair hangs right in her face) without a fight because she can see herself.

I designed this printable at PicMonkey and printed it on white cardstock with hot pink font and stars.  NOTE: For some reason, it looks like it has a cream colored background but when printed it actually has a white background.
Here's where you can download the FREE printable!

  • To download the printable without any stars (just says "Today I'll Wear") click HERE
  • To download the printable with the stars (as seen above, but white background) click HERE

TIP: I bought an open back frame, but if I would have been thinking I should have just bought a regular frame that has the wall mount.  So learn from my mistakes, don't buy the open back from.  If you have the frame already and want to use it, I just taped the print to the back of the frame.

I hope you enjoyed this decorating adventure, and as always, thanks for stopping by!
