Ok let's get started...are you ready because her room is pretty fabulous!
When you first walk into her room you immediately see the beautiful dress up cabinet her Pop Pop built her. If you haven't been to our house in the last couple of months or joined us for a FaceTime chat in her room then this if your first time seeing this fantastic piece. I have been specifically waiting to share this for the first time on the blog :)
A full tour of the dress up cabinet will be going up tomorrow so be on the look out!
To the right of the table is a custom built Barbie shelf again built by her Pop Pop to hold the set of Disney Princess Barbies. Eventually we will be moving her Barbie house from the play room to her room and placing it under this shelf.
Above that is a hot pink and white polka dot pin board originally from her nursery and two small white wall shelves that each hold a hot pink candle with adhesive back crystals (from the scrapbook section) and a picture in a white frame (all from Hobby Lobby). The lamp her daddy picked out from Ikea and the small Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty on the shelf is a nightlight from Wal-Mart. The art piece is a custom print done by none other than Bailey herself.
On the floor next to that is a large low basket that holds her stuffed friends. This is a temporary fix until I figure out what I want to do with all the stuffed friends she has and that basket will be finding it's way to the laundry room :) That's her stocking that hangs all year, one side says "Nice" while the other says "Naughty"...so far today was a Nice day :)
On the opposite wall, she has her toddler bed which I bought off Craigslist for $20 until we find a big girl bed we really like. I'm really wanting to get her a loft style bed with the bottom open for her table and chairs and other toys.
Next to her bed is a simple mirror we hung so she can see herself when she gets ready (with me) in the morning. We we get the new bed, she will also be having a little hanger up for her OOTD (Outfit of the Day). Having her help pick out her own clothes makes getting ready in the morning so much easier! The hot pink "HI!" rug was a $2 steal from the Target $1 Spot.
Above the head of her bed is a print I found at Ross that says: "Love is patient, love is kind. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."
On the window side of her closet is her bow holder that I made for her nursery. Yes, she has a ton of bows and yes it is too many and no she hardly ever wears them. BUT I have hopes she will want to wear them as she gets more hair that will actually hold them.
Her curtains are supposed to be black out curtains but are only semi-black out curtains. None the less I do like the look of them for her room and they weren't very expensive. You can find them similar ones here at Target. I had a helper while taking these pictures :) That's Charley Nichols!
Above her closet is a sign that reads "Anyone who says money can't buy happiness doesn't know where to shop". I found it at Ross when planning her nursery and couldn't pass it up!
On her closet door is her Baby Mum my Aunt Debbie so sweetly made for her hospital door the day she was born. Bailey loves it and calls it "her born".
Are you wondering where her dresser is yet???
But, you're gonna have to wait! Her closet has so many great organizational things going on I want to save it for another post as well. Don't be too mad, it'll be up soon I promise!
