Foodie Friday: Mommy and Me Smoothies!

Today's Foodie Friday post is about a new "pre-made" smoothie pack that we found at HEB.  I have a rather picky three year old who is however semi-easily tricked into eating drinking her vegetables.  She loves almost all fruit and will eat most of them raw...like grab it off the counter and eat it raw...but vegetables are a different story.  She takes after her daddy in the vegetable gene.  In my attempt to trick encourage her to eat her vegetables, we blend them up in smoothies!  So here ya go...Mommy and Me Smoothies!

Here is the "pre-made" frozen smoothie mix I mentioned earlier.  They are HEB brand "Blendables" and there are a couple of mixes and all contain fruit and veggies only.  This one contains red grapes, strawberries, bananas, tomatoes, and cucumbers.

According to the package directions, you just need 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups of water and the mix.  However, after making these I would add a little 100% fruit juice just to give it a little more flavor.  If you don't have juice they are still great with just water :)

Then it's just two easy steps.  Dump in the fruit and water...

...then blend away!  Because the fruit was chopped up so fine, it only took about a minute to get it smoothie ready.

It makes just enough for a mommy glass and a kid cup!  Perfect for a summer afternoon snack :)

Bailey had been running a fever and feeling pretty crappy this day so this was the perfect thing for her to get some good "food" in her.

I hope you enjoyed this foodie adventure, and as always, thanks for stopping by!
