Bailey's Room Sneak Peek

I wanted to give you guy's a sneak peek of when we started Bailey (our 3 year old daughter's room).  Because of her age (and lovely red-headed temperament), I wanted to make sure her room was one of the first rooms mostly completed if not totally completed when we made the final move from the rental to our home.  Before we get started let me give you a little background information...

When we first found out we were pregnant, we were living in a one bedroom third floor apartment while I was in graduate school and my husband was about to deploy to Afghanistan.  I initially thought I would be able to handle the 3 flights of stairs and do fine with a one bedroom until he got home until we started hoarding gathering and receiving all of the wonderful baby stuff.  At that point, we didn't know what we were having (boy or girl obviously) and just went with a very neutral white/cream/tan theme to match our bedroom.

Then we found out she was a GIRL...  It was all over from there.  I pretty much yelled to the Heavens "BRING ON THE PINK!"  So we decided to move into a 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment while my husband was deployed and let her have the ultra girly nursery she so deserved.  So you will see in the sneak peak pictures the bits of hot pink mixed with the cool grey/silver of the walls.  It's tres chic as Fancy Nancy would say :)

The paint color on the walls is Sherwin Williams North Star SW6246

Let me also apologize for the HORRIFIC picture quality of these photos.  At the time, she didn't have a light in her ceiling fan so everything was natural light and a small lamp in the corner.

Her room is 80% finished (we just picked out her new big birl bed!) so hopefully I'll be able to get in there soon and get some better semi-completed photos!

I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek, and as always, thanks for stopping by!
