Second Trimester Essentials

Now that I'm in the beginnings of our third trimester, I feel like it's time to share the things I found highly necessary in my second trimester.  If you haven't seen my First Trimester Essentials, you can check out that post {here}!  Unfortunately, I didn't get over nausea until about half way through the second trimester and still have rounds of back pain, leg cramps and started some minor swelling.  The good things are I've still managed to keep stretch marks at bay and Baby Berry is looking great!

Second Trimester Essentials
  1. Tums: I have had massive amounts of reflux especially at night so I keep a bottle of Tums in my car, on my nightstand and in my desk at work.  My favorite flavors are the smoothie ones.
  2. It Works! Stretch Mark Cream: Like I mentioned in the first trimester essentials, this stuff is incredible!  I'm only having to use it a few times a week and I have still not gotten one new mark!
  3. Gilliland & O'Malley Nightgown: This is actually a pretty recent purchase, but one I will now love forever!
  4. Maternity Leggings: I have been still using the ones I bought 4 years ago in my first pregnancy from Motherhood Maternity but they don't make the exact ones so I just ordered these from Gap and should get them this week!
  5. Large Insulated Water Jug/Thermos: I have been really trying hard to increase my water intake but I have to have it ice cold so these thermos type mugs keep the water cold even over night and don't sweat!  (Mine is a free one from Gatti's Pizza I got at work).
  6. Body Pillow: I didn't end up getting the big 'ol pregnancy pillow that cost like $70, instead I spent $10 on one from Target and bought a double pack of the pillow covers and haven't regretted it one bit...and actually my husband attempts to steal it.
  7. Tylenol Extra Strength: When sciatica hits, there's no stopping it...  Tylenol tends to take a little bit of an edge off...
  8. Popsicles:  These all-natural cherry and lime flavored popsicles have been our favorite, but really anything would do.
  9. Josie Maran Argan Oil: I had super dry skin during the majority of my second trimester, regardless of the humidity of spring in South Texas so I turned to my favorite oil for relief!
I hope you enjoyed this pregnancy post and find it helpful either for you or for someone you know!  Like I said I'm coming on the third trimester so if you have found anything that you couldn't live without in your third trimester I'd love to hear about it in the comments below!  And as always thanks for stopping by!
