Masculine Wet Bar Reveal!

Well I actually thought I had written this post already because the wet bar has been at it's most complete state (thus far) for about a month and I took pictures right after we finished.  Apparently I hadn't shared this room with you yet, so here we go!

In case you forgot here's how it was from September 2013 (when we bought our house) to August 2014...

We are so happy with how this room has turned out!  From the paint colors, to the glass shelving, to the new design for the base cabinet, everything is the way we envisioned it.

The first step was painting the back wall with chalkboard paint.  The painting part was quick, but the "hard" part was rubbing chalk over the entire wall once the paint was completely dry.  I went through lots of chalk...  Then we painted the other walls with the same color we used in the master bedroom, Sherwin Williams Pavestone.

The glass shelves we used are from Ikea and can be found HERE.  They were inexpensive and the perfect depth for bar shelves.

I love having all our glasses displayed.  Yes they get dusty but we just wash them off before we use them.

I love the masculine feel of them!

 You may remember this little set up from Instagram.  The tray is from Target, the black cutting board perfect for slicing limes is from Home Goods, the shaker and glass decanter are from Ross, the bar napkins are from Home Goods, the stir spoon is from World Market (and only $2.99!!) and the glass holding the bottle caps is from a Wednesday beer night at Flying Saucer.

We LOVE the wall hanging bottle opener!  It's so handy and fits perfectly with the style of this room and our home!  PS It's from Target, still available and only $14.99!

This is a sign I bought for Adam years ago from Hobby Lobby...my dad told him this during his father of the bride speech during our reception so I only found it fitting to get it for him when I saw it. :)

As you can see we still have the same cabinets but this is high on our to do list.

We also weren't able to install the wine fridge yet because it was just barely too wide for that opening AND the only plug is on the other side of the cabinet.  So we have redesigned the base cabinet to replace this one to put the wine fridge on the left, a simple open cabinet with one shelf to hold both baskets in the middle and close in the front of the other side on the right to hide the bottom of the sink and all the plumbing for the sink.

 Here's what's all in the cabinet now.  We still haven't needed to purchase much alcohol (except scotch for Adam) since our Stock the Bar House Warming Party and 28th birthday party for Adam last year...so thanks to everyone who came and supplied our stash!
